Aberdeen’s Support for Every Child
We’re here to help children and young people thrive, with care that’s personal, compassionate, and tailored just for them.
Our Approach:
Individual First: We meet your child as they are, not just by their diagnosis.
Personalised Care: Every plan is designed around your child’s unique strengths and needs.
Building Skills & Confidence: Helping with daily life, learning, and wellbeing.
Neurodiversity Friendly: We respect and value all ways of thinking and experiencing life. We understand and support your child, including any neurodiversity conditions like Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia (DCD), Sensory Processing Needs, Down Syndrome, and others.
At Balance OT, your child’s journey is our priority — supporting growth and happiness every step of the way!
We also provide comprehensive packages and services for Schools.
Where do we begin?
Let’s start with an Initial Chat
Book in a 30 minute chat, free of charge, to decide if we can meet your child's needs.
2. After a chat, we begin with a Consultation/Assessment
Online Consultation
If you choose an online consultation, we will send you a questionnaire to tailor the call to your needs, focusing on three key challenges. After the consultation, you'll get an email with a summary and suggested strategies.
In-Person Assessment
Choose an in-person assessment at Huntly Street. Begin with a brief questionnaire to focus the session. The assessment spans 1 to 3 sessions, customized to your child's age and development. We'll conclude with a call to review results and plan next steps. While your child engages in activities at the Just Right Challenge, families can relax in our comfortable waiting area.
3. Treatment/Plan
Our goal-directed therapy sessions target the areas identified in assessment, ensuring your child receives focused support to strengthen key skills, improve function, and build independence step by step.
